Our Mission

Our mission is to empower youth by developing their talents so that they may realize their dreams through Arts, Dance, and Music as well as the Core Educational Tutoring

OUR VISION

It is our goal to within a three to five-year period bring more quality content to the communities surrounding the W. Garfield Park and Austin areas and as time goes on have the communities become interactively involved in the events and planning in addition to being in the shows. It is further our goal to organize development and fundraising efforts and timelines by developing a fundraising plan to increase revenue to be used for our youth and programs by ensuring that we can provide mentoring and health aspects to our program to better give the youth the tools they need to help themselves. We also plan to introduce youth modeling and clothing design for showcasing within a five-year plan and we would like to incorporate designs from many cultures to bring the communities close to other cultures as this is the bridge to understanding each other and learning about one another and how we all think and perform our daily routines in life. The goal is to see that at the end of the day we are all basically the same. In addition, they will develop a sense of entrepreneurship.

Our story began with a simple desire: to make the right choices for our families through what we learned from prior experiences. We were parents in search of safe options, but unsure of where to turn. We both enjoyed bring quality performing arts to youth and when we thought of the many ways to save our youth in the communities, Divine Purpose Youth Performing Arts Center was born as a result of two people meeting and coming together and meshing ideas. Today we are growing and looking to expand our performing arts programs and services to reach even  more youth and adults for years to come..
